A message from the Director, Kyle Kolling

Hello Camp Chi Friends and Families!

As I walked through Camp last week there were some stark differences from only a few weeks before. The trees were blooming, the grass was green, and the deer, turkeys, cranes, and turtles were out in bunches! This was the first time I realized just how close we are to Summer 2024!

In just a few days, the full-time team will be moving up to camp to start prepping for what will be our best summer yet! We will be checking cabins, setting up areas, prepping the new program spaces, and taking all the inventories needed to make sure we are ready for supervisors to arrive at the end of the month!

Once the supervisors arrive on May 30th, the real magic begins. This summer our supervisory team looks to be the best that we have had in my 24 years at camp. We have some unbelievably talented area leaders, incredibly passionate village leaders, and some “Camp Chi Famous” alumni joining the group to round out this superstar team.

Shortly after this, specialists arrive for certifications and training, the counselors arrive to get to know their campers, and all of the nearly 350 staff in camp will begin working together to make the magic that keeps the Chi Flame Burning!

We can’t wait for you to join us soon as camp never feels quite right until all of the amazing campers step off the busses! We are counting down the days!
