Why Attend a Spring Break Program

Spring break is right around the corner and we have only a few spots left in each of our programs. No matter the age, campers love the Chi programs, whether it is Winter Camp, Spring Break, or any of our summer sessions. That’s because we spend lot of time planning to put on the best program for the Camp Chi Family. Spring Break will be no different this year- with a ton of options and fun for everyone. But just in case you’re still unsure, we’ve put together a list of reason to sign up and spend Spring Break with Camp Chi!
Something for Everyone
We have programming for campers all the way from 3rd grade through 11th grade. From dodgeball to arts & crafts to cooking and the ropes course, we have activities that will please anyone and everyone. Both at camp and on the bus, we promise the quality and fun you associate with Camp Chi at each of the three Spring Break programs we are offering.
Spring Break Camp
Campers in 3rd-7th grade will sign up for specialties, enjoy cabin times, go on some awesome field trips and will experience the best evening programs. There’s no better way to spend your spring break than at your summer home. Sign up for Spring Break Camp March 24-27!
Breakaway*
8th-10th graders can spend their spring break at Camp Chi/Perlstein Retreat Center. Participants will spend their days in their chosen track and will spend nights at various field trips around the Wisconsin Dells. We have three tracks to choose from this year and runs 3/24-3/28.
Master Chef- A culinary adventure where participants learn the basics and beyond, ending with cooking a dinner for everyone.
Photography & Social Media– Go behind the camera and fine tune your photography skills and become a social media guru.
Outdoor Adventure– A wilderness survival program where you work on shelter building, team challenges, and fire building.
College Road Trip*
Calling all 9th-11th graders ready to look at colleges! The College Road Trip is perfect for you! We’ll visit the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, University of Wisconsin-Madison, Indiana University, University of Michigan, and Michigan State University. Take campus tours, learn about admissions and Jewish Life, and more. This is a great opportunity to meet new people or go away with a group of friends and learn about some of the best universities in the Midwest. College Road Trip runs runs 3/24-3/28.
The Great Outdoors
While some say summer is too hot, others complain that winter is too cold. Rarely do you hear complaints about the weather of spring, and we are going to take advantage of that. The best part of spring may be that it means that winter is (usually) over and the sun is out. We’ll use all 600 acres of Camp Chi/Perlstein Retreat Center as we watch the sunset over the lake, play games on the field by sunlight and field lights, and enjoy all the beauty of spring at camp. Heading on the College Road Trip? We challenge you to find more beauty that the quad at the University of Illinois or sitting on the Memorial Union Terrace in Madison.
Luxury Lodging

Spring Break Camp will live at Perlstein Retreat Center. The Perlstein rooms are hotel-style, and each are individually climate controlled, with a private bath and includes linens and towels.
Not to be outdone, Breakaway will live in Squirrel Hill at Camp Chi. This housing, usually reserved for the more senior staff at camp each summer, is fully climate controlled, has kitchenettes, and has a private bath in each room. Each room includes linens and towels
College Road Trip will be spending one night at Perlstein and beyond that will be in hotels near each university.
All the Camp Fun!
There are so many small moments that can only truly happen at camp, and we plan to enjoy all of them. Who doesn’t love a hayride around Chi? Well good because we’re going to be having plenty of hayrides. And when not going through camp, join us as we make s’mores around a campfire. After all, what camp program is complete without a delicious gooey s’more.
Memories and Friendship
No matter what program you choose, we can guarantee that you’ll make tons of friends and even more memories with those friends. Whether it is exploring options for colleges, cooking up a storm, building shelter in the woods, or splashing at a waterpark, we structure each of our programs in a way that allows you to meet others and form lasting bonds. With just a dash of the Camp Chi magic those lasting bonds become lifelong friendships.
