Meet Our New Program Coordinator

By Camp Chi
Camp

With the recent changes in the Camp Chi team, we have been able to recruit for 3 full-time positions. And while 2 are still open, we are thrilled to announce the newest member to the Camp Chi Full-Time Team, Jared London. Jared, or J-Lo will fill the role of the Program Coordinator, where he will focus on teen engagement and the larger summer and year-round programs. J-Lo is no stranger to Camp Chi and we are lucky to have him onboard. J-Lo will start with us in mid-March and is very excited. He wanted to take a moment and introduce or re-introduce himself to the Camp Chi Family.

Hi Camp Chi! I’m Jared London, but most know me as J-Lo. I could not be more excited to be joining the full-time team as the Program Coordinator!

I grew up at Chi as a camper for 8 summers, a SIT of 2014, and have spent the past 5 summers on the staff side as a counselor and village leader. This will be my 14th summer at the greatest place on earth. Camp is my greatest passion. I live for stargazing in the commons, watching the sunset at the cove, song session on the deck, and everything in between. With this new role I will be working very closely with our teens. I will be the teen camp (Noar) village leader this summer! I’m eager to work with the team to revitalize Chi Town Connection, which will give Chi teens great opportunities to stay involved with the camp community during the school year.

Programming is one of my strengths at camp and I can’t wait to impact the larger scale of camp. I love big picture programming and am passionate about the positive impact great programming can have on our campers and staff. I’m really looking forward to planning and implementing exciting and new programs during the summer and camp offseason. Big things are coming!

I am beyond lucky and grateful to have the opportunity to give my all back to the place that gave me everything.

-J-Lo
