With so many summer programs for kids available nowadays, we are committed to ensuring that Camp Chi is always exceptional. This starts with a strong foundation that distinguishes the Chi experience and is mindful about how to provide the best possible summer filled with outrageous fun and measurable growth for kids.

IT’S ALL ABOUT CAMPER CARE

We believe everything that happens at Camp Chi, whether it is a big success or a seemingly small moment in time, presents an opportunity to provide exceptional care for campers. It’s this philosophy that propels us to create an environment where each child can thrive socially and benefit from individualized support and attention. Our entire staff is committed to ensuring the physical safety, emotional stability and social well-being of all campers. This approach to Camper Care truly sets Camp Chi apart from other camps and children’s programs.

Camp Chi is all about giving kids choices. We see the growth that occurs when campers make independent decisions. That’s why our campers select the activities they want to do based on their interests.

Our staff are second to none. We hire two groups of staff – specialists with expertise in teaching activities and caring counselors with big hearts to lead cabin groups. Almost all of our cabin counselors grew up as campers at Camp Chi so they are deeply committed to making camp as special for their campers as it was for them.

With a larger camp, comes more activities, more amenities and more opportunities to find friends who share common interests. We’re also able to provide extensive resources to meet each child’s individual needs with the support of our substantial, professional staff dedicated to camper care.

Personal attention continues through Chi’s village model, where each age group operates like a small camp within a camp. Each village is a close-knit community and nurturing home base for campers with its own staff, daily schedule, evening programs and traditions.

Camp Chi has awesome activities, special events, field trips and more. Yet, we know that it’s often the moments in between that create the magic of camp for kids. Each day affords campers time to just be, hang out, laugh, connect, talk and listen.

Camp Chi will build a strong, inclusive, tradition-rich camp community that teaches life lessons and celebrates individual growth. Through deep connections to nature, Shabbat and Israel, Camp Chi lights a flame within each individual igniting and strengthening friendships, lifetime connections to Camp Chi, and Jewish life.

Our Values

Intentionally planned and thought out, everything we do at camp is connected back to our core values of Kindness (Chesed), Respect (Kavod), and Community (Kehilla). As campers go through their journey, they get to explore these core values in addition to a wide array of other values and their Jewish perspective.

A Leader in Truly Inclusive Camps

We believe everyone benefits when everyone can play. Camp Chi provides one-on-one support to ensure that campers with intellectual, social and physical disabilities can participate fully.

Our staff meets with families to understand the camper’s needs and make sure that they are met. This can include anything from how much support they need, if any modifications are required, and which session is best for the child.
