Alumni Weekend 2025

Friday, July 25 – Sunday, July 27

Join us for a weekend of Camp Chi Magic! Reconnect and reminisce with camp friends for a Shabbat weekend during 2nd Session. Enjoy family-friendly camp activities and traditions, sing-a-longs at Song Session, and campfires to relive your Chi traditions.


Lodging

All Alumni and guests are responsible for securing their own overnight accommodations off-campus.

We have reserved the following room blocks for your convenience thus far, and are in the process of securing additional discounts that may be available. Continue to check back in for more details!

  • La Quinta by Wyndham Wisconsin Dells – $219 per night (2 night minimum). Book by April 30.

For Alumni under age 18 looking to register for either the Weekend Pass or Saturday Only, and not attending with their parent or guardian, please contact Rebecca Lenkiewicz, Donor Engagement Manager, directly at rlenkiewicz@jccchicago.org.

Weekend Adult Pass – Early Bird: $160
Regular Fee: $180

  • All adults 18+.
  • Includes all weekend activities and 4 Meals (Friday Night Shabbat Dinner, Saturday Lunch, Saturday BBQ, and Sunday Breakfast).
  • For guests over 21 years of age: Includes 2 drink tickets for Friday Alumni Campfire and 2 drink tickets for Saturday Alumni Schmooze.

Weekend Child Pass – Early Bird: $60
Regular Fee: $75

  • For children ages 3-17 attending Alumni Weekend with their families.
  • Includes all weekend activities and 4 Meals (Friday Night Shabbat Dinner, Saturday Lunch, Saturday BBQ, and Sunday Breakfast).

Saturday Only Pass – Early Bird: $110
Regular Fee: $125

  • All adults 21+.
  • Includes all Saturday activities and 2 meals (Saturday Lunch and Saturday BBQ).

SIT Young Alumni Saturday Only Pass – Early Bird: $25
Regular Fee: $36

  • For SIT Alumni 18-20 years of age.
  • Includes SIT/Staff Volleyball Game & SIT Campfire.
  • Does NOT include meals; SIT Alumni passholders must leave campus between Volleyball Game and SIT Campfire

FAQs

What is the cancellation policy? Will my payment be refunded?

Payment is due in full at the time of registration. All fees are non-transferable. All cancellations must be received in writing. Cancellation notice received up to 30 days prior to the program start date will be eligible for a full refund. Cancellation notice received up to 14 days prior to the program start date will be eligible for a 50% refund. Within 2 weeks (14 days) of the program start date (as of Friday, July 11), no refunds/credits will be given.

What kind of food will be served?

The Perlstein dining room is Kosher, under the supervision of the Chicago Rabbinical Council. Salad bar, fruit and soy butter and jelly are also available at all meals, as well as vegetarian options. Alumni weekend will include the following meals:

Friday: Shabbat Dinner

Saturday: Lunch, BBQ Dinner, & Alumni Schmooze

Sunday: Breakfast

What if I want to register past the cutoff date?

Registration after Wednesday, July 16, is based on availability. Please contact Rebecca Lenkiewicz, Donor Engagement Manager, at rlenkiewicz@jccchicago.org for additional information.

What time is check-in and check-out?

Check-In is from 4:15-5:30pm on Friday, July 25 at the Perlstein Deck. All Alumni and guests must depart Camp Chi no later than 11am on Sunday, July 27.

How do we get to Camp Chi and where do we park?

Please plan for your own transportation. All guests should plan to arrive and depart from Perlstein throughout the weekend, and park at the Perlstein parking lot.

What should we plan to pack?

Please see below for a recommended packing list for each individual. We are not responsible for clothing or items that are lost or damaged. Please bring your own beach towels for the pool, Cove, and Lake Delton activities.

  • 4 changes of underwear and socks
  • 2 pairs of jeans/sweatpants
  • 1 pajamas
  • 4 shorts
  • 1 sweatshirt, fleece or jacket for evenings
  • 4 short sleeve t-shirts
  • 1 long sleeve t-shirt
  • Rain poncho or jacket
  • 2 pairs of shoes (sandals and gym shoes)
  • 1 pair of shower shoes (can be inexpensive flip flops)
  • 2 swimsuits
  • Sunscreen
  • Insect repellent
  • Flashlight
  • Beach towel
  • Toiletries (toothbrush, toothpaste, shampoo, soap, deodorant, etc.)
  • Blanket
  • Reusable water bottle

Please note: Knives or any weapons of any kind are not allowed on Camp Chi and Perlstein property under any circumstances. We thank all Alumni for your cooperation.

Can I bring my pet to Alumni Weekend?

To best accommodate our campers and guests throughout the weekend, please leave all furry friends at home.

Is Camp Chi a smoke-free campus?

No smoking is permitted on Camp Chi grounds or at Perlstein. We appreciate your cooperation.

Is there internet access at Camp?

Wireless internet is available near the front office of Camp Chi and throughout the Perlstein Retreat Center. Please note that access can be spotty based on bandwidth capability.

If I am not registered for the weekend, can I still attend the SIT BBQ?

To attend the SIT BBQ, you must register for a Saturday Day Pass or Weekend Pass. SIT Alumni ages 18-20 should choose the SIT Young Alumni Saturday Day Pass. SIT Young Alumni may attend the SIT Volleyball Game and SIT Campfire but must leave campus for dinner following the Volleyball Game. SIT Young Alumni will be permitted to return to campus at 10pm for the SIT Campfire.

I was not a SIT. Will there still be fun things for me to do?

Of course! The SIT vs. Staff Volleyball Game is just one activity in an action-packed, family friendly weekend. All Camp Chi Alumni are welcome and there will be plenty to do!
