News from the Chi Family

Spring is in the air and the warm weather has a little spring in our step! The weather isn’t the only thing that has heated up- we have so much to celebrate this month: college decisions galore, well deserved awards, new drivers and new babies. So join us in wishing a mazel tov to everyone below. And if you have news to contribute, please submit it here, so we can celebrate you as well!

Debbie Brin Leon & Jesus Leon welcomed Maxwell Griffin recently and we are loving the adorable photos we have seen. We can’t wait to meet Maxwell soon!

As we have shared multiple times, our own Netta Hardin has become a YouTube star with her cooking channel, Noshing with Netta. And now she has her own website where you can watch her videos, read her story, and even get some merchandise. Check it out at NoshingWithNetta.com!

Our own Lauren Grill won the district championship in Informative Speaking and qualified for the National Speech and Debate tournament! Congrats Lauren- best of luck!

We want to wish a hearty mazel tov to both Asher Carroll and Natalie Wayne on their recent b’nai mitzot. We heard you both did wonderfully!

Chi parent and Chi Family Getaway participant Margo Fox is being recognized for her incredible work. Margo, the Senior Director of Engagement for the Jewish Federation of Greater Indianapolis was named one of the winners of their Frank H. Newman award, which goes to outstanding professional in one of the Federation’s constituent or beneficiary agencies or in the Jewish community. Congrats Margo!

The roads are getting a little more crowded as Jason Santilla recently got his driver’s license. Drive safely Jason!

With the college decision deadline looming, we are so excited for these young people who are about to begin their next chapters: Jaden Pazol, Rebecca Posner, Sarah Schwartz & Emma Zislis (University of Illinois), Eddy Mett (Bradley University), Jacqueline Bleadon (DePaul University), Elijah Klein & Andy Hanna (Ohio State University), Rachel Krzesinski (Loyola University Chicago), Zach Parks (University of Maryland), Alex Rosen & Jake Leyderman (Indiana University), Lindsey Rabinowitz (Michigan State), Geoffrey Gitles (San Diego State University), Monique Furman (University of Miami), Simon Blaustein (Loyola Marymount University), and Grant Katzenstein (University of Florida)!

Have news to share? We want to hear all about it, so be sure to submit it here.
