Chi Does Good: Hanukkah Toy Drive Update

By Camp Chi
toys for toy drive
Chi Does Good

Just like the holiday season, our annual Hanukkah Toy Drive is in full swing! Although giving and receiving presents may be a given of the holiday season for many of us, this isn’t always the case for everyone. We are again working with Toys for Tots, a wonderful charity that provides gifts to less fortunate children around the holidays. There’s no better way to get into the spirit of the holidays than helping those who need it.

With just a few days left of our annual Hanukkah Toy Drive, we wanted to give an update on the amazing generosity of our Camp Chi Community! We have already received donations and we still have some time to make one final push!

Through this coming Thursday December 15th, you can drop off your donations at Bernard Weinger JCC in Northrbook, Florence G. Heller JCC in Lakeview, or Jacob Duman Early Childhood Center at Lake County JCC in Lake Zurich. There are huge gift boxes wrapped in Hannukah wrapping paper, where you can put your donations of new and unwrapped toys and books.  Although our Toys for Tots Drive ends December 15, all toys received up through December 21 will still be donated to families in need.

A huge thank you to everyone who has donated thus far! We also hope you’ll join us for Camp Chi’s 4th Night Hanukkah party on December 21st. Come hang out at Bernard Weinger JCC and enjoy cookie decorating, a campfire and s’mores, and some dreidel competitions.
