Chi Mitzvah Time at the Reunion- Bring Art Supplies

Last month, the Woosley Forest Fires in California destroyed another JCC overnight camp, JCA Shalom. Their facility was literally burned to the ground, as can be seen here in photos they have shared. As colleagues this was a devastating loss to witness but, out of the bad times, creates an opportunity for us to do some good. JCA Shalom will be operating this summer but does not have any supplies with which to run their program. After conversations with the camp, we are asking the Camp Chi Family to help another camp community in need.
We are asking everyone to please bring new art supplies of any kind (markers, crayons, colored paper, paint, pipe cleaners, buttons, string, scissors…) to the reunion on December 15th, where there will be bins to collect everything. All supplies collected with be shipped to JCA to help get their art program up and running. We know if our community lost our happy place, we would be forever grateful for anyone who helps get it back. Hanukkah may be over, but there is still time to be the light that helps someone else shine a little brighter.
