Duffel Details & Transportation
There’s certain signs that announce a new season has arrived. Fall is marked by the first fallen leaf, Winter by the first flurry of snowflakes, and Spring by the first robin spotted. And, of course, Summer finally arrives when families start packing the duffel bags for camp!
After you have packed your bags and labeled your items like true camp experts, you might be wondering what to do with them? Good news for you is that we have you covered!
For those that bus to camp, we partner with a luggage transportation company every summer to magically get your duffel bags right to your camper’s cabin by the time they arrive. All you have to do is drop the luggage off at the most conveniente site (below) on one of the following dates:
Drop-Off Dates & Times:
- Session 1 (Session IA, IB, Take 2 & SIT):June 16 or June 17 | 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm
- Session 2 (Session 2 & Mini Session 2):July 13 or July 14 | 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm
PNW, Mini Session 1 & Try Chi campers bring their bags to camp on the buses due to the smaller numbers on their starting days.
Drop-Off Locations:
- Chicago: 2100 N Elston (Best Buy & Kohl’s parking lot)
- Northbrook/Deerfield: 497 Lake Cook Road Deerfield (Deerfield Park Plaza Parking Lot between Tile Shop & The Dog Stop- formerly The Barking Lot)
- Buffalo Grove: Northeast Corner of Lake Cook Rd. & Arlington Heights Road in Buffalo Grove (former Dominick’s parking lot)
Pick whichever dates, times, and locations work best for you, and drop your luggage off. That’s it! There’s no signups necessary!
Coming from out ot state? We encourage you to ship your bags using ShipCamps.
Luggage fees are included in the bus fees, so if your camper is taking the bus to camp you do not need to pay extra to have your luggage delivered. If your camper is not taking the bus to camp and you would like to send your luggage, there will be a fee (please contact us if this applies to you). Unless you have arranged with us, please do not bring your duffel bags to the bus site on the day of camper departures as space under the bus is limited.
