Everything you need to know about Chi Town Connection
Chi Town Connection is back for another fun filled year of teen programming!
What is Chi Town Connection (CTC)?
Chi Town Connection (CTC) is Camp Chi’s year-round program for all teens in 8th-11th grade. Our overarching goal is connecting camp friends during the school year and to keep the flame burning all year long!
Who runs CTC?
Jared “J-Lo” London, our Program and Teen Coordinator runs CTC with a Leadership Board made up of an amazing group of Chi teens. CTC Leadership Board meets once or twice a month to plan our programs, run CTC’s social media pages, and recruit other camp teens and friends to participate in CTC. One of the most exciting aspects of CTC is that our programs and social media are led majorly by Camp Chi Teens!
What type of programs and events does CTC offer?
CTC aims to run an event every month from November through May. These events and programs can be anything from euchre tournaments and our annual CTC Hannukah Party to Bulls games and bowling! Most of our events will take place at Bernard Weinger JCC in Northbrook. We also put a large focus on philanthropy and community service. CTC will host multiple community service events throughout the year, such as a holiday give-a-thon or volunteering at one of our local food banks. Every program we run will have the goal of being the most fun way to stay engaged with camp and camp friends during the year while giving back to the community around us!
How can I stay up to date with all things CTC?
The best way to stay up to date with all of CTC’s events and programs is to follow us on Instagram @ChiTownConnection! If you’re a Chi teen in 8th-11th grade or a parent of a Chi teen keep an eye out for emails from J-Lo throughout the year with CTC updates and program offerings. You can also always reach out to J-Lo directly with any questions or how to get more involved at jlondon@jccchicago.org!
We hope to see you or your teen at CTC program soon!
