Final Four Frenzy: Sweet 16 Update
March Madness is certainly living up to it’s name. After the first two rounds of the tournament, we are down to the 16 remaining teams, and just 1 person has all four of their picks still remaining.
The Camp Chi Family was certainly ready for March Madness after missing out on it last year. The predictions came pouring in. But when the Ramblers upset the number 1 seed Fighting Illini, 71% of the submissions were eliminated from having the chance at the correct Final Four. Then perennial contender Kansas was defeated by USC, and another handful of submissions were ousted. Oral Roberts, the fairy tail story so far has caused almost as many eliminations as the Ramblers, as Ohio State only rivaled Baylor for the most picks in our Final Four Frenzy.
With the first weekend of gameplay behind us, more than 50% of submitted brackets have 2 or less remaining teams (only two with 0 teams left though). And while a handful have 3 teams still standing, all eyes are on Chi Alumni Zach Sandler who is the lone remaining submission with the chance of a perfect prediction. Zach, an Illinois Alumni, did not pick his Fighting Illini to last, instead choosing Houston to reach the Final Four with Gonzaga, Michigan, and Baylor.
Stay tuned for more updates from the Final Four Frenzy and good luck to Zach!
