Introducing Our SIT Director
If there’s a defining fixture connecting all the generations of Camp Chi, it is undoubtably The Witkovsky Family Staff In Training Program, known as SIT Summer. Dating back generations, the SITs (and CITs if you go back far enough) at Camp Chi are a family of their own, keeping the Camp Chi Magic alive through the years. As you look around the dining hall and see the history on the SIT plaques, it’s clear there’s something special about the program. Ever SIT class is unique and have an experience that is unique thanksto the help of the dedicated SIT Staff. But there’s always one particular individual who guides the whole process, preparing the next generation of Camp Chi Staff: The SIT Director.
We have a new SIT Director to announce this summer, and this person is no stranger to Camp Chi. We could not be happier to announce that Jori Wineburgh is joining the legendary ranks of SIT Directors. Jori, who is excited for her 16th summer in Lake Delton, is no stranger to the SIT Program. She was a SIT in 2010 and SIT Staff in 2014. Jori has also been a Village Leader for many of the villages over the years, and can frequently be found enjoying waterski or the cove. When not t camp, Jori works as a teacher at Bernard Zell Anshe Emet Day School and is always eager to help Camp Chi however she can. Her leadership, experience, and dedication to Camp Chi makes her an undeniable fit as our SIT Director.
Whether you know her as Jori, Jor Bor, or Jody, make sure you join us in welcoming this Camp Chi lifer into her new role!
