March News from the Camp Chi Family
They say March comes in like a lion and goes out like a lamb. Well we certainly have a lion’s share of news to share with you from awards and competition results to college decisions, future campers and so much more. Our favorite time each month is when we share our pride in the Camp Chi Family and we are excited to give you reasons to celebrate one another. If you have news to contribute, please submit it here.
Jordyn Neiman has been nothing short of superb as a camper and staff member and the trend must be continuing at college as she was named the Chabad student of the week at Arizona State University. Nice going Jordyn!
Be sure to buckle up as Hailey Brady got her driver’s license. Drive safely Hailey!
Stephanie Slavin Marcus is expecting and her fellow SITs of 2005 Annie Harris, Michelle Ardagh, Jackie Rubin, and Caryn Doner Olshansky threw her an adorable baby sprinkle, even presenting her with a SIT 2036 onesie for the future camper (photo above).
We are so proud of Danny Goodman and Ari Aks on their recent b’nai mitzvot. We heard you both did wonderfully on the bimah and had great celebrations. Mazel tov to both of you!
Mike Majewski continues to show his academic prowess as he placed the highest in his 6th grade class at a Mathcounts Math competition. Nice job, Mike!
It’s been a busy few weeks for Max Strauss and his gymnastics team. A few weeks ago he earned a perfect 10 on vault and go 1st place in rings and pommel horse as his team swept the 2020 Western Invite in their division to a 1st place finish. And now, as he prepares for States, he eared a 1st place all around award and his team won the Level 5 1st place award. Keep it up Max! Good luck at the state meet!
We are very happy for Apolonia “Apple” Speropulos and her husband Jason, as they recently announced that Elaina will be a big sister soon. Mazel tov to all of you!

Get ready for cuteness overload as Kathy (Rosen) & Jason Silver welcomed a beautiful baby in January. We can’t wait to meet him soon!
The swimming and diving program at Carmel High School, which our own Hailey Fox is a part of, has surpassed dynasty level, winning their 34th consecutive IHSAA Girls Swimming and Diving State Championship. They earned 426.5 points this year, the 4th highest of all-time!
We are very proud of Nathan Geyer, Zach Orhn, and Spencer Fleisher, who just were named DECA state champs and are heading to Nashville in a few weeks to compete in Internationals. Good luck gentlemen!
