Meet Our Associate Director, Louis Lasko
Hello, Camp Chi Family!
For those who don’t know me yet, I’m Louis Lasko, and I bring over 13 years of experience in Jewish camping, having had the privilege of working at JCC camps in Springfield, MA, and Stamford, CT, and most recently directing Camp Laurelwood in Madison, CT, for the past eight years. Camp has always been my home away from home—a place where I found my true self and saw others do the same. Watching campers grow and return as counselors to pass down the magic of camp is something I never tire of.
It’s been a whirlwind first few weeks as I settle into my role as Associate Director, and I couldn’t feel more at home. The warm welcome I’ve received from this incredible community has truly been heartwarming. I’m thrilled to be part of a place with such a strong history and tradition.
As I dive into this new role, I’m constantly reminded of what makes Camp Chi so special. This is a community filled with passionate campers, dedicated alumni, supportive families, and a phenomenal staff team. I’m excited to work alongside such talented and caring individuals and can’t wait to get to know each of you better. Together, we’ll create so many unforgettable summers!
On a personal note, I can’t wait to bring my family along on this journey! My wife, Kristin, a 4th-grade teacher, and our daughter, Emmie, who will be 2 this summer, are just as excited as I am. I’m looking forward to them experiencing Camp Chi’s magic, making new friends, and exploring the beauty of Lake Delton Wisconsin summers.
Thank you for welcoming me so warmly into the Camp Chi family. Here’s to an amazing journey together as we prepare for an incredible 2025 summer. I’m beyond excited!
