We make things campy. It’s just what we do. And what do we do on the birthday of our country each year? We campify it of course! Each year is different, but one thing never changes- it’s the 4th of July!

From electing a camp president to gold rushes and finding an iconic items of American legends, we always put a fun twist on the 4th of July and this year is no different.

We won’t be on teams, and the iconic meals of Americana won’t be filling our bellies, but we will still have the ruach of the 4th of July! How? Well- you have to help us with that. One of the best parts of camp is dressing up in crazy costumes, and the 4th of July is no exception. From tutus to headbands, face paint, onesies, and more- campers and staff from all over the globe tend to go big for this special day. Sadly, there are only a few of us at camp right now, getting ready for Chi Family Getaway. We’ll surely be in our 4th of July outfits, but that’s just not enough. We need you to wear your craziest 4th of July outfit and send us a photo! 

Because the 4th of July is Shabbat, we’ll even give you 2 days to get photos in- you have from July 3 through July 4 to send us your most spirited pic.

We’ll share our favorites so everyone can enjoy a little bit of a camp 4th of July! Bonus points if you decorate your house like we decorate cabins each  summer.
