The Chi Team is Growing
We are thrilled to introduce a familiar face as the newest member of the Full-Time Team! Jordan Goldberg is joining the team as the Outdoor Adventure Coordinator. In this role, Jordan will work to launch Camp Chi’s brand new specialty camp, the Outpost Village in Summer 2022, manage the PNW trip and will help be a key member of the team focusing on on recruitment, marketing and communications.
Jordan grew up spending his summers at Camp Chi. He fell in love with the outdoors on his PNW trip. Since then, he has continued to hone his outdoor skills by planning and going on camping trips both locally and abroad. Jordan’s love of nature and the outdoors goes beyond the hiking and camping experience. Most recently, he volunteered on a date orchard in Israel, working the land and learning from nature.
As a staff member at Chi, Jordan was able to use his creativity to plan programs and help create life changing experiences for his campers. He continued to tap into this skill set in college by studying Advertising and Creative Writing at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Aside from working in a few different advertising and communication companies, Jordan was an intern with JCC Chicago’s Marketing department, helping Camp Chi develop social media content and recruitment materials for new campers and families. And while he was not seen on camera, Jordan played an instrumental role behind the scenes in Summer 2020’s Homecoming and Chi Burning virtual experiences. His skills and work experiences in this area will help bring to life the Outpost Village while enhancing our communication and engagement with campers and families.
This position brings together Jordan’s passion for the outdoors, commitment to Jewish life and learning and skills in marketing, advertising and creative writing. We couldn’t be more excited to have Jordan return to the camp, in time to celebrate the centennial with us. Please join us in welcoming Jordan back to Chi this summer and to the full-time team!
