The End of the Summer, the Start of the New Year

September is always an exciting time for the Camp Chi Family. Fresh off of what is always an unforgettable summer, September provides us with a chance for something new. A new year in school to learn great things, a new season to explore and enjoy, and new year of camp to start counting the days down to, and a New Year on the Jewish Calendar to usher in.
We love reminiscing on past summers, but it’s thinking about all the fun to come in future summers that really keeps us going. At the end of every summer, we try to learn from the past, and set goals for the future. In this way, Rosh Hashanah and the camp season line up perfectly. Rosh Hashanah is a time to simultaneously reflect on the past year, and learn how to grow into the new on. As we enjoy apples and honey with friends and family, we think about all the ways we can make the next year as sweet and wonderful as can be.
We wish the Camp Chi Family and beyond a happy and healthy New Year. Let’s make it a year filled with Kindness, Respect, Community, and plenty of Camp Chi Magic!
