The Oscar for knowing the correct answer goes to two of our movie buffs, Abbey Finn and Sarah Patton.

The movie that earned the most over a 3 day period over the Thanksgiving holiday is the Disney smash hit Frozen, which opened on November 27, 2013, and earned an amazing $67,391,326. Actually beating Frozen at the box office, and opening 5 days earlier (which is why it was not the correct answer) was The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, which opened on November 22, last year and earned a whopping $74,179,601. They both went on to earn $400,000,000+ in the domestic box office.

Of course, this year for Thanksgiving, you can catch the next installment of The Hunger Games, The Penguins of Madagascar, and many other movies while the turkey is cooking.
