Adventure is Out There

Camp

The Pacific Northwest Adventure trip, also known as PNW, is often described as the trip of a lifetime, and it is! You get to hike and camp for 5 weeks through some of the most breathtaking sites in the world. But it is only available for 9th and 10th graders. We have been stuck in a tough spot- how do we help younger campers prepare for the trip and how do we satisfy campers (and staff) who have gone on PNW and have fallen in love with the experience. Well, we are here to introduce our first new activity for this summer- Outdoor Adventure!

Outdoor adventure will prepare you for all kinds excursions in the wilderness. Get ready to be a trailblazer – build  and name your own trails at camp. Along the trails, we’ll learn the various shelters to build and we’ll practice protecting ourselves from the elements by building forts. An essential skill while camping is building a fire- either to eat or keep warm, so we’ll be teaching campers the safe and proper way to build fires and so much more!

And you’ll get to test those skills out with an overnighter, enjoying the beauty of nature, stargazing, and enjoying a wonderful bonfire. So get the gear ready and start practicing your fort building because this summer we can guarantee one thing- adventure it out there!
