And the Award Goes to….

JCC Camp Chi is pleased to announce that over 140 Camp Chi families are the recipients of the 2020 PHILANTHROPIST OF THE YEAR AWARD by JCamp 180, a program of the Harold Grinspoon Foundation!
The JCamp 180 Outstanding Philanthropist Award is presented to the individual or individuals who have made significant financial contributions to nonprofit Jewish camp, and therefore have made these organizations more vibrant, competitive and sustainable. This year, the award goes to….all the parents who donated to nonprofit Jewish Camp in 2020! This award was announced at the JCamp 180 national conference. JCamp 180 works to significantly enhance the long-term effectiveness of nonprofit Jewish camps and other organizations that engage young people in meaningful Jewish cultural and educational experiences.
We are extremely grateful to our community for the generous support of families who donated their entire camp fees, a portion of their fees, or allowed us to hang onto fees as a credit for future programming. These donations were crucial to supporting our pivot throughout the summer of 2020 and ensuring the continuity of our camp experience as we head into our 100th summer in 2021.
Families who donated their entire Camp Chi fees for 2020 include:
- Rachel Bronson and John Matthews
- Abby and David Brown
- Wendy Diamond and Matt Goodman
- Emily Friedman and Dan Protess
- Penny and Tim Jack
- Bonnie and Rich Vozar
We also recognize those families that donated a portion of their Camp Chi 2020 fees:
