Enhancing the SIT Program

Camp Chi’s SIT (Staff in Training) Program is well-known to be an amazing, unique experience for rising 11th graders. Over the years it has grown and evolved to be a high-quality, immersive teen experience, as we shared in a recent blog. As they progress through the years, Chi campers anticipate their hallmark “SIT Summer,” as an opportunity to learn leadership skills and give back to Camp Chi, their home away from home In particular, as they become staff and alumni, former SIT’s often reminisce about their hallmark summer when looking through dozens of SIT Plaques hanging side-by-side in the Dining Hall.
This summer, there’s something new hanging alongside those SIT Plaques. Thanks to the Witkovsky Family’s generous contribution to the Camp Chi Centennial Campaign, Camp Chi’s SIT Program will be upgraded and renamed. The Witkovsky Family SIT Program sign is hanging in the dining hall to commemorate their contribution. This gift will enhance programming, experiences, and traditions of the SIT Program, which will transform our SIT Program this 100th summer and beyond!
A big thank you to the Witkovsky Family from all past, present, and future SITs!
