Help Camp Chi Find “The Chosen One”
Camp is known for creating lifelong connections. When you’re a camper, you interact and stay in touch with your counselors, you often get to know your cabinmates’ sisters and brothers who are also at camp, and other campers who are a year ahead or behind you. Camp also creates special connections and deeper relationships within families through their shared camp experiences. It might be because cousins who live near and far spend the summer together or because grandparents, parents and children all attended Camp Chi. Being on staff, you make friends with people from all over the globe and ranging in ages. Over the last 100 years, Camp Chi has become synonymous with expanding your social network and now it’s time to put it to the test!
100 years of building community, connecting with those from other cultures, exploring Jewish identity and making friendships is certainly something to be proud of. There is no better way to honor
Camp Chi’s 100th summer than to celebrate the place you love with the friends you can’t replace because you’ve lived and grown together. While the realities of COVID-19 have restricted our gatherings, it won’t stop us from virtually celebrating our big birthday. We kicked off our Centennial with Cocktails. Conversation. 100 Years of Community. event.
Our next event is coming up and it will get everyone involved so save the date! On Tuesday, December 8 at 8pm, we will be hosting a Camp Chi Edition of Who Knows One, live on our Facebook page. It’s a virtual game of Jewish geography, testing who knows the right people to get in touch with the mysterious “Chosen One”. Six Chi alumni have been chosen as contestants and they are busy getting their networks primed and ready, memorizing random details about the friends they know and love. Expert ringers are on standby to help the contestants make additional connections that hopefully move them one person closer to finding the “Chosen One” during the game.
The community (that’s YOU!) helps keep the game going through donations that go towards unlocking specific clues, lines of communication, adding in or kicking out people from the game and much more. If you’d like to help kick off our Who Knows One: Camp Chi game early, you can make a donation starting now! You can also get your camp friends together and pool your donations to have an even bigger impact on the game and support Camp Chi. Learn more about the contestants, ringers and donation options to figure out how you want to participate in our Who Knows One game.
This a fun, family evening of entertainment and you don’t need to know who the contestants or the ringers are to enjoy it because it’s not about you knowing who they are, it’s about the six degrees of separation we all have from each other. So, tune in on Tuesday, December 8 at 8pm to our Facebook live event, watch the game, figure out where your network can help and get involved!
