Sponsor the Summer
By Megan Roth Abraham
As we all know, much of 2020 and most of the first half of 2021 have been a “bust” due to the unprecedented shutdowns resulting from the pandemic. The beacon of light keeping many kids going these days is the promise of a summer at Camp Chi, our home away from home. Summer 2021 will be unique for many reasons, including the fact that Camp Chi is celebrating their 100th birthday! So many exciting special events, camp upgrades, and activities have been planned in honor of Camp Chi’s big birthday. Everything is detailed at here on the Chi website.
Camp Chi families have a special opportunity to help our campers and staff celebrate the Camp Chi Centennial is style by “sponsoring the summer.” After a year of being home with parents, we know many of campers and staff will miss the family bubble they’ve become accustomed to this past year. The opportunity to Sponsor The Summer gives families a chance to impact their campers or staff’s experience by infusing some family love into their second home and our summer season. This special opportunity provides support for the in-camp festivities planned for campers attending camp and will bring even more joy and excitement to the return to Lake Delton. Gifts ranging from $720 for a s’mores treat to $5,000 in support of vital staff training are available to anyone who would like to give back and be part of this important camp milestone. “Sponsor the Summer” opportunities are available to individuals, families, groups of past camp friends, and/or SIT/CIT classes to ensure Summer 2021 will never be forgotten! You can view all the opportunities and sponsor the summer here. Thank you in advance for your support of the Chi Centennial.
